Project Overview:
As part of the Burrendah Park Ancillary Works (BPAW) development for the City of Canning, BOS Civil was tasked with developing the Community Plaza which included underground infrastructure, streetscaping, landscaping and civil construction.
These works were part of a bigger project by the City of Canning around the construction of a new sports centre and Skate park, which was behind schedule. This added considerable time pressure and required BOS to liaise with the builders daily and share site access, as well as manage items in the construction area that were not meant to be there. A lack of design in relations to levels also meant that the BOS Civil surveyor had to redesign the site crossfalls so that the site could drain away.
Despite these issues and the considerable time pressure to meet the Client’s Grand Opening date, the site was finished on time and the City of Canning was very pleased with the outcome.
