Our commitment to reconciliation
At BOS Civil, we believe that reconciliation is more than a corporate responsibility – it’s a shared journey of respect, recognition, and meaningful change.
In 2024, we proudly launched our Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), marking an important first step in our commitment to strengthening relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, communities, and businesses.
As a proudly Australian civil construction company, we recognise the deep and enduring connection that First Nations peoples have with the lands on which we work. We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of Country across all project sites and pay our respects to Elders past and present.
Our RAP is a framework for learning, reflection, and action. It sets out our intention to listen more deeply, engage more meaningfully, and ensure our business contributes positively to reconciliation – both within our own teams and across the communities we serve.
While we are early in our journey, we are committed to:
- Building cultural awareness and understanding within our workforce
- Creating respectful partnerships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses
- Supporting pathways for employment, training, and participation
- Embedding inclusive practices into how we operate day-to-day.
We know that reconciliation is not a destination—it’s an ongoing commitment. As a company built on strong relationships and grounded in family values, we are proud to take this first step, and we look forward to walking the path together with open minds and open hearts.
